Cyclopentasiloxane (Cyclomethicone)

I cannot go without my Motives Eye Base. Even when I am in a hurry and don't have much time to apply my makeup and I don't want to look like I awoke from the dead, I atleast put on my eye base. It brightens and opens up my eyes, while hidding fine lines and wrinkles to give me a natural, youthful appearance. My eyes look 10 years younger when I use this product!
Also, applying the eye base before my eyeshadow not only keeps my eyeshadow looking fresh and vivid all day, but it also creates an even canvas for a smooth, perfect look every time.

I think this does a great job of holding your eyeshadow in place all day ... but if you have oilier eye lids, like myself, it may start to crease. Especially on more humid days. It's also a little too light. I think when I put it on my lids it changes the color of the shadow just a smidge ... instead of keeping the it true to color. I don't hate it ... but it's not the first product I would recommend to my friends.

For years I've used another product and never been happy with my eye makeup. It always smudged and creased and just didn't stay "on" for very long. Since switching to the Motives product I've found that my eye makeup looks great all day and even into the evening without needing any touchup. It's made me want to "do" my eyes regularly again!

After spending what seems to be forever applying my eye shadow and blending it out to create the perfect eye look, one of the worst things that can happen is creasing. Motives Eye Base helps prevent creasing and helps prepare the surface of your lid for perfect eye shadow application. I also noticed that the eye shadow color seemed to pop more when I used the eye base prior to application. I would definitely recommend this product to other people. Use the end of your flat shadow brush to scoop a little from the pot, and rub it onto the back of your hand to liquify it. Then apply with brush to your lid with a light hand until lid is covered. Let dry for a minute, then apply your shadows. Stays all day long, looks great and helps shadow stay true to color on the lid.
